Fritz Jolie Joaquin, allegedly linked to Kouachi brothers, was extradited from Bulgaria on the morning of 29th of January. He was handed over to the French authorities at Sofia airport. On the flight to Paris, he was accompanied by French policemen.
Joaquin was arrested in Bulgaria on the basis of a European arrest warrant, with allegations for involvement in a terrorist group.
Earlier this month, Joaquin said that he agreed to be extradited as soon as possible. He admitted he had been an acquaintance of one of the Paris attackers since they were children, but denied being involved in a terrorist group.
On 7th of January, Cherif and Said Kouachi attacked the Paris offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people.
