IT industry in Bulgaria has not only remained unaffected by the storm of the financial crisis, but has grown faster than forecasts. The capital city Sofia is turning into the new “silicon valley” with scores of Bulgarian and international companies, which export software products around the world.
One Bulgarian company has created a game, which has approximately 20 million players around the world and is popular from Brazil to Russia.
Moni Dochev and Dobroslav Dimitrov set up the company for computer games in 2005. The game through which they stepped on the international market is a copy of the reality – knights, fights, power, strategy and diplomacy.
They say that success is the most important approach. “We produce games that we ourselves find interesting and we put exceptional efforts to reach the highest standards of product quality”, they remark.
Their company employs people who have ideas and great willingness to work. The candidates are not necessarily required to have a qualification in programming, because the company has created its own school for software developers. The training takes about five months.
