The ship "Verila", owned by the "Navigation Maritime Bulgare" (Navibulgar), has been detained in Ireland.
The director of the Navigation Maritime Bulgare, Capt. Alexander Kalchev told BNT on December 20 that the local authorities have not officially notified him, but what is known at the moment is that the ship is being investigated on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Captain Kalchev stated that if this is confirmed, it will be a gross violation of the law and he hopes that the guilty will be punished. No sailors have been detained at this time.
