A team of 11 boys and girls from Bulgaria are winners at NASA International Space App Challenge 2015 in the category “Best Use of Hardware”.
The winner is a “smart” glove and mobile device that enables gesture and voice recognition to ease automation tasks for work or play.
Most members of the Bulgarian team, who developed the device, are students from the "Computer Systems and Control” faculty at the Technical University in Sofia, which financed the project.
On 26th of May, the team were guests in the BNT morning programme “The Day Begins” and demonstrated how, for instance, the glove could stop the work of the cameras in the studio. The smart glove can be used to switch the TV at home, to turn the volume up, change TV channels or slides, etc.
