On 26th of September, Bulgaria’s caretaker Prime Minister, Georgi Bliznashki, stated he hoped that a mutually acceptable solution for Corporate Commercial Bank would be reached through an open dialogue between the European Commission and Bulgarian authorities. These were his comments in relation to the opening of the infringement procedure by EC against Bulgaria over the troubled bank.
He explained that the infringement procedure included several stages. The first stage is applied at the moment, which is for fact finding. It is very important what reply would be presented as regards the critical remarks towards Bulgaria, he added.
