Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the end of election day in Bulgaria at 9 p.m. local time on October 29.
The Commission announced it at 21.00, because in some places the polling stations extended their work for an hour because of people waiting to exercise their right to vote.
At the same time, CEC began preparations for the first municipal election commissions to receive the documents.
CEC has decided to publish on its website the telephone numbers of the Ministry of E-government ‘s call centre. The CEC meeting is being broadcast online. The ministry may give further instructions on the organisation of video surveillance of the ballot counting, CEC chairwoman Kamelia Neykova said during the meeting.
