The first two tourist ships for this year docked on the Danube coast at Bulgaria's Rousse.
The passengers from the ship "Viking Lif" went on an excursion to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi in the morning on March 21. They are mostly American tourists. They embarked from Budapest, visited the major Danube ports, with their next stop being Giurgiu, then will travel by bus to the Romanian capital Bucharest, which is the last point on their itinerary.
The other ship, the Amareina, arrived at midday today. Most of its passengers are Australians.

The level of the Danube is currently high enough and there are no difficulties for navigation. Tour operators are hoping for a good season. The restrictions associated with Covid-19 have been lifted and there is a return of interest in excursions.
