On 9th of October, Bulgaria's Central Election Commission announced the final results of the early parliamentary elections held on 5th of October.
Eight parties won MP seats. The distribution of seats in the 43rd National Assembly and the share of votes are as follows:
Centre-right party GERB - 84 seats, 32.67%, 1 072 491 votes;
Centre-left Bulgarian Socialist Party - 39 seats, 15.4 % , 505 527 votes ;
Liberal “Movement for Rights and Freedoms” – 38 seats, 14.84 %, 487 134 votes;
Centre-right coalition “Reformist Bloc” – 23 seats, 8.89%, 291 806 votes;
Nationalist alliance “Patriotic Front” – 19 seats, 7.28 %, 239 101 votes;
The populist coalition “Bulgaria without Censorship” – 15 seats, 5.69 %, 186 938 votes;
Nationalist party “Ataka”- 11 seats, 4.52 %, 148 262 votes;
Centre-left “ABC”- 11 seats, 4.15%, 136 223votes.
A total of 3 501 269 ballots had been cast. 218 125 were spoilt votes, which is twice as much in comparioson witrh 90 047 spoilt ballots at the parliamentary elections in May 2013.
