Before the start of the government meeting on September 7, Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov said that now is the time to analyse in depth the causes of the severe floodings on the Southern Black Sea coast and next time to be better prepared.
Starting tomorrow, an inter-ministerial expert commission will be formed with Deputy Minister of Environment and Water, Petar Dimitrov, as chairman. In 14 days, the commission should say what actions and legal changes should be taken in this direction.
The Prime Minister will personally monitor its work. He urged people to trust only institutions and not statements on Facebook.
At the start of the meeting, ministers observed a minute's silence in honour of the flood victims.
