Following the 1 December protest in Sofia, five individuals remain in detention. The Sofia Police provided details of their prior offences:
In response to multiple media inquiries regarding the previous offences of five individuals detained during the 1 December protest in Sofia, who are also subject to ongoing court-imposed measures, the Sofia Police issued the following clarification:
Zh. Zh. (19 years old)
2023 – Driving under the influence of narcotic substances (Art. 343b, Para. 3, Penal Code) – Dictrict Directorate of the MoI in Stara Zagora.
K. Y. (21 years old)
2022 – Detained at the Ninth Police Station (Sofia) for threats.
2023 – Detained under Art. 281, Para. 2, Item 4, for illegally assisting a foreigner to stay or transit through the country, involving a minor.
2024 – Refused testing for alcohol and drugs while driving (Art. 343b, Para. 6, Penal Code) – Primorsko Police Station.
L. T. (25 years old)
2023 – Charged under Art. 281, Para. 2, Item 4, for illegally assisting a foreigner to stay or transit through the country, involving a minor – Ninth Police Station (Sofia).
2024 – Charged under Art. 330, Para. 1, arson of property of significant value – Dupnitsa Police Station.
M. I. (21 years old)
2024 – Charged under Art. 343v, Para. 1, driving after licence suspension – Ninth Police Station (Sofia).
N. A. (21 years old)
22 October 2022 – Detained for theft (Art. 194, Penal Code) – Fourth Police Station (Sofia).
28 November 2024 – Detained for possession of “crystal” drugs – Sixth Police Station (Sofia).
14 April 2025 – Detained again for possession of the same narcotic – First Police Station (Sofia).
2 July 2025 – Checked by the Specialised Police Forces Unit, found connected to so-called “locals.”
