For a second day in a row, mountain rescuers are searching for a man and a woman in the Balkan Mountains, the Mountain Rescue Service (PRS) said on September 4. The woman has a leg injury.
On Sunday, a signal was received that the man and the woman were missing in the Ravnets area in the direction of Mount Botev.
The first rescuers from the Mountain Rescue Service in Karlovo went to look for them yesterday around 17.00. The search went on until 3 o'clock at night and rescuers from the Mountain Rescue Service in Kalofer took part in it.
This morning the search resumed on the trails under Mount Botev.
The search for the two tourists is very difficult because there is no data on exactly where in the mountain they are and the weather conditions are bad. There is fog and rain.
Rescue teams from the Troyan Rescue Service are on standby to take part in the operation. If the people are not found today, more rescuers will join the search tomorrow.
