Fine particles air pollution is nine times above the permissible norms in several residential areas in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia on 3rd of January.
According to data of Sofia municipality for the past 24 hours, the highest level of air pollution was reported in the areas of Pavlovo, Krasno Selo and Nadezhda, where the concentration of fine particles exceeds the permissible norm by 9 times.
Cause for the air pollution in Sofia is the use of solid fuel, vehicle emissions and adverse meteorological conditions, the specialists say.
