Georgi Nikolaev, the man who was accused of slashing 18-year-old girl with a knife and inflicting injuries that required 400 stitches, remains remanded. This was decided by the District Court in Stara Zagora.
Nikolaev told the jury that he had never threatened to kill 18-year-old Deborah Mihailova.
He has been charged with six counts of threatening to kill, both personally and on social networks.
Georgi Nikolaev stressed that he has a young child to take care of, has never hidden, has no intention of hiding and will cooperate with the investigation.
The prosecution insisted that his measure should be confirmed, while Nikolaev's defence argued that the court's decision should not be subject to public pressure and if the jury has morality it should not pre-judge the accused.
According to the court, Georgi Nikolaev may abscond, and if he is given a house arrest measure he may repeat his threats against the 18-year-old Deborah.
