New surge of Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 445 from 2,658 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on September 26, 2023.

Test positivity rate is 16,74%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,313,282.

The active cases are 2,477.

Of the total, 275 patients are in hospitals, 19 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 252 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 1,272,342;

• 24 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, 4,613,826;

• 4 Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 38,463;

Of the daily cases, 63,15% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100% had not been vaccinated.

There were 96 new hospitalisations, of which 67,71% had not been vaccinated.
