Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and his chief of staff Lena Borislavova will be summoned to the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office. The reason is the meeting of the Prime Minister with the Chief Prosecutor, which took place on Friday.
The state public Prosecutor’s Office announced that during the meeting, PM Kiril Petkov pointed to Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev the names and nicknames of people who, according to the Prime Minister, are at the heart of economic crimes in the country, and against whom no necessary actions have been taken to seek criminal responsibility.
The Chief Prosecutor pointed out that the powers to detect crimes are in the executive branch and in particular in the Ministry of Interior. And if there is specific evidence, the Prosecutor's Office should be notified.
In order to clarify all the data presented during the meeting, Petkov and Borislavova will be invited to provide a complete list of persons named during the working meeting, as well as data, respectively, evidence of possible crimes or violations committed by these persons.
In connection with the information disseminated by the prosecutor's office regarding the meeting between Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev on Friday, a briefing was held at the Council of Ministers on February 7.
Today I was informed that the Chief Prosecutor invites me for an interview to disclose information that is publicly known, but which he would be happy to know from me further on the following cases, PM said.

The Prime Minister announced that the person, who was supposed to serve a summons, arrived in the Council of Ministers, but received a call not to serve it publicly today in front of journalists. I would be very glad to receive the summons in front of you, Petkov added.
