Prosecutor's Office assigned anti-corruption commission to investigate property transactions of Assen Vassilev and Daniel Lorer

Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has assigned the Commission for Combating Corruption and Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets to launch a probe based on media publications related to transactions by Assen Vassilev, Finance Minister, and Daniel Lorer, MP from “We Continue the Change” and former Minister of Innovation.

According to the media revelations, the company "STW Consulting", which once belonged to Assen Vassilev, had its accounts frozen due to a claim by an American citizen for BGN 5 million. However, three months before that, the company sold its properties for over BGN 3 million, leaving the American damaged if his claim was satisfied.

Lorer bought the property from “STW Consulting” for just over BGN 300,000 and a year later sold it for BGN 1.8 million to Stanislava Arnaudova. On the same day, "STW Consulting" sold the rest of the building to the company "SI Trading 2016", a sole ownership of the same Stanislava Arnaudova.

Arnaudova's company, Intelligent Traffic Systems – from 2019, has been an intermediary between the state and end users in the sell of vignettes since 2019 with a 7% commission. Daniel Lorer and Stanislava Arnaudova declined to comment for BNT today.
