A further seven black vultures have been successfully released into the wild in the Eastern Rhodope Mountains, as part of ongoing efforts to restore the species.
The release, carried out by teams from the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds and the More Wild Rhodopes Foundation, marks the fourth group of birds to be reintroduced.
With this latest release, the total number of black vultures freed in the project has reached 27, the organisations announced.
