On 5th of December, Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) and the company “South Stream Bulgaria” provided the Bulgarian Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy with the documents concerning the South Stream project. No long term gas transport agreement signed with Bulgaria was found among them. Presently, there is no complete finance model regarding the project as well.
PM Borisov assigned the ministers of energy and the economy to undertake a legal, economic and financial analysis of the documents. The analysis will be presented by Bulgaria at the meeting planned for 9th of December, at which the energy ministers of the eight European countries, which have interest in the project will discuss South Stream situation with the European Commission.
The meeting was initiated by the European Commission Vice President for energy Maros Sefcovic and the participants will be Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Italy, Greece and Romania, for which the project is of importance.
