The film features André Schinkel, a German poet; Hans-Dietrich Genscher, a former Foreign Minister; Emilian Kamiński, a Polish actor and activist; Bogdan Borusewicz, organizer of the Gdansk strike of 1980, Speaker of the Polish Senate; Prof. Andreas Ranft, a German historian; Adam Michnik, a onetime Solidarity activist and now publisher of Gazeta Wyborcza; Italian writer and actress Margaret Mazzantini, etc.
