Due to the ongoing escalation of the military conflict in the territory of the State of Israel, Bulgaria Air had to cancel the Sofia - Tel Aviv - Sofia flight scheduled to depart from Sofia at 23.30 on 9 October with a return flight from Tel Aviv at 4.50 on 10 October. This was announced by the national carrier on its Facebook page.
It added that the cancellation is due to increased safety measures in the airspace over Israel to ensure the safety of all passengers, pilots and cabin crew of the airline.
"We would like to assure you that the national carrier continues to look for ways to transport our compatriots abroad and foreign nationals wishing to leave the country on its scheduled service," Bulgaria Air said.
Currently, the flight to and from Tel Aviv on October 12 (Thursday) is scheduled to operate without any change in the schedule.
"Bulgaria Air is allowing free-of-charge changes on all tickets purchased for travel to and from Tel Aviv until the end of October, and newly issued tickets should be within one year.
The national carrier apologises to passengers on the affected flights, Bulgaria Air said.
