Emil Hursev, a prominent Bulgarian financier and businessman, has died at the age of 64.
He was born on 19 October 1961. Hursev graduated from the German Language High School in Sofia. He later completed a degree in Finance at the then Higher Institute of Economics “Karl Marx” (now University for National and World Economics).
Hursev served as Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank and was a board member of Bulbank, Mineralbank, Credit Bank, BRIB, and the International Bank for Economic Cooperation in Moscow.
He was an associate professor of banking and bank management at UNWE (since 1996), as well as a financial and investment consultant and owner of “Hursev & Co.”
