The driver tried to put out the fire himself
A car caught fire this afternoon just before the third tunnel on the Struma motorway in the direction of Pernik, the regional spokesperson for the Interior Ministry in Pernik, Ventsislav Aleksov, told BTA.
The incident was caused by a technical fault. The driver attempted to extinguish the flames himself but was unsuccessful.
There are no reports of casualties or injuries. Traffic in the area was briefly disrupted.
