Sofia City Court has revoked the European arrest warrants for two of the defendants in the "Nexo" case - Antoni Trenchev and Kosta Kanchev.
The court said that on 19 September, Sofia City Prosecutor's Office filed a pre-trial procedure, against which there were appeals which challenged the European arrest warrants (EAW).
The court's reasoning states that the EAWs issued are unlawful because the defendants were not properly summoned.
The materials show that the defendants have permanent and known addresses in the United Arab Emirates, from where they were not summoned by the investigating authority.
Anthoni Trenchev, Kosta Kanchev and two other persons - Trayan Nikolov and Kalin Metodiev were accused of leading and participating in an organised criminal group established to commit coordinated crimes in the country and abroad - money laundering, tax crimes, computer fraud and banking activities without a license.
