On October 21, two protests demanded the resignation of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. The first protest was organised by "Justice for Everyone" initiative at 6 pm in front of the Palace of Courts in Sofia.
This is one of the series of protests under the windows of the Prosecutor General’s office. Reforms in the Prosecutor’s Office and the judiciary were among the demands.
The protest rostrum again commented on the topic of corruption in the judicial system, as well as the work of the Prosecutor's office on landmark investigations in the recent months.
The protest ended with a procession to the Supreme Judicial Councils’ building with lit fire torches. The message was that there is light and it will break all dependencies.
The other protest was in the area of Independence Square. As on previous evenings, the protesters demanded the resignation of the government and changes in the Constitution, as well as the introduction of machine voting.
