Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mariya Gabriel, on January 11 opened an information centre of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski” in the Moroccan capital Rabat. It will provide preliminary information on study opportunities at all higher education institutions in Bulgaria. It will also be used for common educational and research projects.
"I hope that this centre will be able to represent all Bulgarian higher education in Morocco. As we have had very strong traditions in the past, I hope that through this centre we can rebuild these traditions of exchange, research and of course political dialogue that goes along with education and culture," said prof. Georgi Valchev - Rector of Sofia University.
"We are happy that this centre is now opened because it is a serious step forward in the educational partnership between Bulgaria and Morocco. Our students will have much easier access to universities in Bulgaria, because they will receive fast and accurate information here on the spot", says Ana Zebak, Director of International Partnerships at the Ministry of Culture of Morocco.
