A fire has broken out near the Struma Motorway between the villages of Levunovo and General Todorov. The blaze has spread across dry grass, and firefighting teams from Sandanski and Petrich have been sent to the scene.
The Road Infrastructure Agency has warned of reduced visibility in the area of the fire, between kilometres 155 and 157 of the motorway. Drivers are advised to proceed with increased caution and at an appropriate speed.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
