People were warned by the church bell
A forest fire broke out above the town of Slivnitsa at 12:41 p.m. on August 21. Residents were first alerted by the bells of the local church, and the national BG ALERT warning system was activated at 1:56 p.m.
Two firefighting teams have been dispatched to the scene.
