Bulgaria's President, Rumen Radev, discussed with the newly elected U.S. President, Donald Trump, the war in Ukraine and the potential for a swift resolution through diplomatic means. This became clear from a post by the President Radev on Facebook.
"With the newly elected US President Donald Trump, we discussed the war in Ukraine and ways to end it as soon as possible by diplomatic means ," Bulgaria's President wrote in a Facebook post on December 8.
On December 7, along with other leaders, he attended the opening ceremony of the restored Notre Dame Cathedral in the French capital Paris.
The Bulgarian Head of State is on a working visit to the French Republic from 7 to 9 December.
Radev is in Paris at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron for the inauguration of the restored Notre Dame Cathedral.
