The demonstrations are held under the slogan: “Resign! Peevski and Borisov Out of Power.”
This evening, December 10, protests are taking place in several Bulgarian cities against the current government and calling for approval of the 2026 state budget, with demands for a fair distribution of state funds.

The demonstrations also include calls for the resignation of the government. In Sofia, the protest is centred at the “Triangle of Power” and in front of the Bulgarian National Bank.
To prevent disorder, organisers from “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” have stated in the protest announcement that no marches through the streets of the capital are planned.

Earlier today, the issue of confidence in the cabinet was also discussed in Parliament. At the request of “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria,” MPs debated the sixth no-confidence motion against the Zhelyazkov cabinet. Voting is scheduled for tomorrow.

Protesters say they want the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov’s government, arguing that the cabinet is effectively controlled by Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski.
The date of the protest was deliberately chosen to coincide with the sixth no-confidence vote against the government. Organisers hope that tonight’s demonstration will be even larger than last week’s.
In a symbolic display, a yellow sofa, titled “Sofa, Sofa” in reference to the name of Bayram Bayram, appeared next to the pink piggy bank.
“We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” also called on 'There is such a People" leader Slavi Trifonov to withdraw his support from the cabinet.
