Sofia Municipality Announces Traffic Restrictions Ahead of Tonight’s Protest

The Sofia Municipality has outlined temporary changes to traffic arrangements due to the expected protest this evening, 10 December 2025.

Parking and stopping will be prohibited today, with the exception of vehicles belonging to the Sofia Police Directorate (SDVR), without affecting areas designated for “official subscription” parking, at the following locations:

• Parking lot at Knyaz Alexander I Square;
• Moskovska Street, between Georgi S. Rakovski Street and Budapest Street;
• Georgi Benkovski Street, between Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Boulevard and Moskovska Street;
• Budapest Street, between Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Boulevard and Moskovska Street;
• Nikolay Gyaurov Square.

From 18:00 until the end of the protest, and as deemed necessary by the Traffic Police Department of the SDVR, vehicle access will be restricted on:

• Moskovska Street, between Georgi S. Rakovski Street and Budapest Street;
• Georgi Benkovski Street, between Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Boulevard and Moskovska Street;
• Budapest Street, between Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Boulevard and Moskovska Street.

The Sofia Police Directorate will provide security, control posts, and traffic management at key intersections during the specified times and locations.
