In Kardzhali the demonstration is peaceful
In 24 cities across the country, 'Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) – New Beginning' is organising rallies this evening in support of the government. Supporters and sympathisers of the MRF will express their approval of the cabinet at demonstrations held under the slogan “No to Hate”.

One of the locations where the event has been declared as a peaceful protest is Kardzhali. Those gathered there stand behind the motto “No to Hate” — words spoken in Parliament a few days ago by the party leader, Delyan Peevski, following a heated exchange with Ivaylo Mirchev of 'We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria.
Participants say they fear that political tensions could spill over into their daily lives, affect long-standing traditions of tolerance and community relations, and lead to destabilisation and chaos. For this reason, they support calls for stable governance that solves problems — a government focused on the country’s development, free from disorder and anxiety.
The crowd has filled “Osvobozhdenie” Square. Numerous signs reading “No to Hate” can be seen, along with many MRF flags, the national tricolour, and the flag of the European Union.
