European Parliament President, Roberta Metsola, on December 16, announced that the European Public Prosecutor’s Office has requested the lifting of immunity for MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk, a member of the Renew Europe group.
The matter has been referred to the Committee on Legal Affairs, Metsola said at the opening of the final plenary session of the year in Strasbourg.
Earlier, in a social media post, Kyuchyuk stated that he would cooperate with all competent authorities to clarify the facts.
