Large-scale demonstrations took place today, December 10, in Sofia and other cities across Bulgaria, with protesters calling for the resignation of the government. In the capital, the main rally was held at the “Triangle of Power” and in front of the Bulgarian National Bank.

Students also joined the demonstration against the government.

Over 25 people were detained at various protest points, with authorities reporting that some were found in possession of knives, brass knuckles, and firecrackers. To prevent disorder, organisers from “We Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria” (WCC–DB) announced that no marches through the streets of Sofia were planned.
