A new attempt will be made tomorrow, BSP submits a vote of no confidence
Parliament was due to meet on November 8 for its first regular sitting after the local elections. However, the MPs did not secure a quorum. The reason was that GERB-UDF MPs were not present, the "We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria" refused to register and the parliamentary group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) is holding a meeting.
A new attempt to open the sitting was made at 9.30, but again no quorum was secured. In the meantime, it became clear that the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will table a vote of no confidence against the government at 10.00 today. They are supported by "Vazrazhdane".
The MPs' agenda included several bills proposed by "Vazrazhdane", BSP and “There is Such a People”. The Socialists tabled amendments to the social security law. "Vazrazhdane" has a proposal for changes to the Electoral Code and “There is Such a People” wants new rules for calling referendums.
