The outgoing Council of Ministers has appointed Tsanko Bachijski as Chair of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, the government press service announced. His second term in the post will begin on 23 December 2025.
Earlier this month, the cabinet approved a decision to dismiss Borislav Stanimirov from his position as Deputy Chair of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, effective from 2 January 2026. Elizabet Tsvetanova was appointed as Deputy Chair, with her mandate set to begin on 5 January 2026.
