Code red weather alert has been declared for 7 districts in Bulgaria on July 26, mostly in southeastern Bulgaria - in Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Haskovo, Sliven, Bourgas and Rousse temperatures are expected to be above 41 degrees Celsius today.
The wild fire danger index there is very high. 145 wild fires have been extinguished by firefighting teams in the country in just 24 hours. In most of them, forest grasses, bushes and stubble were burning.
The fire services are warning to be extra careful because of the dry and hot weather.
