A heavy goods vehicle caught fire on the Maritsa motorway near the 52nd km, the Ministry of Interior said on August 2. Police, fire and ambulance teams are travelling to the scene.
The traffic in the section Haskovo - Harmanli is tempoarily closed in both directions due to a heavy truck incident in the area of the village of Polyanov, Road Infrastructure Agency also informed.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution and at a reasonable speed on the detour route - road I-8 Harmanli - Haskovo - p.v. "Dimitrovgrad" and vice versa.
The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on motorists to observe the traffic rules, to drive carefully, keep distance and at a reasonable speed, avoid risky overtaking, which may endanger the safety of all other road users. Driving under the influence of emotions does not guarantee a shorter journey, but endangers the life and health of everyone else who obeys the rules.
