BNT special envoys in Ukraine, the journalist Mario Gavrilov and the camera man Ivan Antonov continue to cover the events in Ukraine in an exceptionally difficult situation. For the programme “Around the World and at Home”, Mario Gavrilov explained that he could only summarise and retell what was happening in the local Parliament in Ukraine, because he was not given accreditation for access.
Gavrilov said that, “The explanation was that too many accreditations had already been given”, which in his opinion was rather ridiculous, “because the building is huge and there is a lot of space. Unofficially we were told that media which distorted the reality in Crimea and had a hostile attitude, including us in that category, were not welcome in the building.” Gavrilov was also told that all European media belonged in that category.
The BNT team will continue to report the developments from Crimea.
