A woman died and another was injured in a crash between two cars on the main road E-79 on October 23. The accident occurred at the junction for the village of Poleto.
The road is closed to traffic in both directions.
Cars are being diverted through the town of Simitli in the direction of Kulata and through the village of Krupnik in the direction of Sofia.
Heavy trucks are waiting on the spot.
