Protesters against the government in the centre of Sofia sang together the national anthem of Bulgaria.

From the stage, the anthem was performed by Asen Vasilev, Ivaylo Mirchev, and Bozhidar Bozhanov of We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB).

This was the end of the demonstration, which started at 18.00. Organisers urged citizens to go home quietly and to watch out for provocateurs who have merged with the flow of people.

Police presence in the area has been stepped up.

Traffic is closed to vehicles.

The crowd filled the space from Maria Luiza Boulevard to Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

Protesters, gathered under the slogan “Resign! Peevski and Borisov Out!”, repeatedly sang a local chant, jumping and shouting: “Who doesn’t jump is fat” and “Resign”.

The anthem was also sung by Asen Vasilev, Ivaylo Mirchev, and Bozhidar Bozhanov of WCC-DB.

A video of There Is Such a People leader Slavi Trifonov was broadcast, in which he stated he would never form a coalition with Boyko Borisov. A post by Trifonov was also shown, affirming he would never enter agreements with Delyan Peevski.

Footage also featured Toshko Yordanov and Stanislav Balabanov from There Is Such a People, who had declared they would not negotiate with MRF. They were booed by protesters.
