Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on April 12 visited the village of Kaolinovo in Shumen district, where he laid a wreath at the monument built in honour of the visctims of the so called revival process. He was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Aylin Sekizkök, the Consul of Turkey in Bourgas Sinem Güzel and the leader of the Movement for rights and Freedoms parry, Mustafa Karadayi.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu thanked Bulgaria for the assistance it had provided to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey in early February, which left thousands of people homeless. He stressed that Turkey and Bulgaria have always been friendly countries and have shown it again with their assistance to the people in distress. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also said that he hoped Bulgaria would soon elect a regular government.
Turkish Foreign Minister and accompanying dignitaries held a business meeting and then attended an iftar dinner at the Tombul Mosque.
