Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader, Kornelia Ninova, said the party would comment on its behaviour in the 50th Parliament after the final results of the vote come out. She pointed out, however, that the question of whether the BSP would support GERB was redundant after 10 years of war that the socialists have been waging against the GERB model.
"We are concerned over the low turnout. This is another very serious sign for all parties and the whole system and we all have to draw conclusions from this and take measures. I thank all our supporters and members for the good campaign we have done. Thank you to all those who supported us and to all those who voted, although not for the BSP, because they exercised their most important right - the right to choose.
We will comment on results and actions once things are final. We came out of respect for you, for the voters, to congratulate and thank you, but from tomorrow, when the final result is released, we will be at your disposal," Ninova said.
