"Sending NATO troops to Ukraine, even on the basis of a bilateral agreement, implies a global clash," Bulgarian President Rumen Radev told a joint briefing with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar on February 27. The Slovenian President is on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of President Radev.

He commented on a statement by French President Emmanuel Macron who said yesterday that sending troops to Ukraine should not be ruled out in the future, but that at this stage "there is no consensus" on such decision, reported France-Presse.

“There’s no consensus today to send in an official, endorsed manner troops on the ground. But in terms of dynamics, nothing can be ruled out. We will do everything that we must so that Russia does not win,” he said at the end of the conference in support of Ukraine, with European leaders and government representatives, at the Elysee Palace in Paris, France, February 26.
