Bulgaria wishes to participate in the process of changing the constitution of North Macedonia, caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolai Milkov told journalists on April 5.
"North Macedonia is already discussing variants of the future texts for changing the country's constitution and Bulgaria wants to be part of this process so that it can go smoothly", he said.
The caretaker foreign minister was in Brussels, where he was attending a meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
Milkov had talks with the Foreign Minister of north Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, yesterday and hopes North Macedonia will respond to Bulgaria’s desire to participate in the constitutional change process.
The foreign minister specified that new contacts are forthcoming in an effort to reduce tensions, but without harming the rights of the Bulgarians in North Macedonia. According to Milkov, Bulgaria is extending its hand to continue the dialogue and hopes that there will be good will on the part of Skopje as well.
