Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 135 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 135 from 2,523 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 24, 2024.

Test positivity rate is 5,4%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the pandemic are 1,337,969.

The active cases are 7,496

Of the total, 321 patients are in hospitals, 43 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 42 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 1,291,753

• 48 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to 4,725,727;

• 1 Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 38,720;

Of the daily cases, 65,19% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 34 new hospitalisations, of which 64,71% had not been vaccinated.
