The requirement to quarantine Covid-19 patients and their contacts has not been lifted. The quarantine for Covid-19 patients is seven days and for their contacts is five days, the health ministry said on October 11.
In July, the Ministry of Health proposed to abolish the quarantine for those who are ill and their contacts and the proposal was mentioned in the draft amendments to the Health Act. The proposal has not yet been voted on in Parliament.
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 442, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows. 352 patients are in hospitals, 22 of them being in intensive care.
