Two people have tragically lost their lives in the floods at the Elenite seaside resort (on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast).

Earlier, authorities confirmed the death of a man who was trapped on the ground floor of a building. A second fatality has since been confirmed – a digger operator who had been reported missing.
The disaster at Elenite has caused widespread damage across the complex.
