The MPs of the Legal Affairs Committee in Bulgaria’s Parliament on July 5 approved the declaration with a call to the Supreme Judicial Council to suspend the procedure for the election of a new Prosecutor General.
This was the first item of the agenda, as proposed by the Speaker of the 49th Parliament, Rosen Zhelyazkov.
The MPs voted with 15 votes in favour and 6 against.

MPs from GERB-UDF, "We Continue the Change" - "Democratic Bulgaria" and the Movement for rights and Freedoms (MRF) submitted to the Parliament on Friday, June 30, a draft declaration calling on the Supreme Judicial Council to suspend the procedure for the election of a new Prosecutor General.
