Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Sofia

Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky, arrived in Sofia today for a one-day visit, the Council of Ministers said on July 6.

The Bulgarian government plane on which the Ukrainian head of state was expected to arrive landed at Sofia Airport minutes after 12.00 pm.

At the Council of Ministers, Zelensky will hold talks with Prime Minister Acad. Nikolai Denkov. He will also meet with the leaderships of the parliamentary groups which submitted the draft declaration in support of Ukraine's NATO membership.

A joint declaration on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration and a memorandum on cooperation in the energy sector are expected to be signed.

Later in the day, Prime Minister Acad. Nikolai Denkov and Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel will host a discussion with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, ambassadors, politicians and representatives if civil society. The event will be streamed live on the Council of Ministers' Facebook page.
