Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 599 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 599 from 3,813 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on October 17, 2023.

Test positivity rate is 15,7%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the pandemic are 1,318,967.

The active cases are 4,705..

Of the total, 425 patients are in hospitals, 26 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 382 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 1,274,916

• 3,497 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to 4,659,781;

• 3 Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 38,506;

Of the daily cases, 60,10% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 113 new hospitalisations, of which 68,14% had not been vaccinated.
